YouTube is going to allow content creators to upload their videos on multiple audio tracks. As confirmed by the platform itself, this latest function offers the possibility for creators to add several audio tracks in different languages, with one goal in mind: to improve the experience for users from all corners of the world.
This novelty will be applied to various areas of the platform, mainly affecting transcriptions, subtitles and audio tracks. In this way, from now on it will be possible to give a second life to the old videos of the application through dubbing, allowing them to reach a much larger audience.

Multitracks represent a complete revolution on the platform, which until now only allowed uploading videos with an audio track. This novelty, similar to the option to choose between several types of subtitles, will offer the possibility of choosing the language in which to listen to the audio of the video.
A spokesperson for the platform has confirmed the status of this innovation: “This feature is being tested with a very small group of creators, and we will expand it later this year.” At the moment, a small niche of youtubers can access it, as is the case with MrBeast. The American content creator has done something never seen before: his most popular video on the platform, a recreation of The Squid Game series, can be played in up to twelve different languages, from Korean to Arabic.
Also, with a view to being more inclusive, YouTube allows its creators to add tracks with audio descriptions, aimed at those who are visually impaired or visually impaired.
In a statement, the platform noted: “We are testing, with a small group of creators, the ability to add multiple audio tracks to their videos, which will help provide multilingual audio for international audiences, as well as descriptive audio for individuals. blind or with low vision. We look forward to expanding this feature in the coming quarters.”

This latest novelty shows the importance of globalization in social networks. Farbod Mansorian, founder and CEO of Unilingo, reveals to Business Insider: “Globalization is becoming more relevant every day, especially when you reach tens of millions of subscribers, you almost owe it to your audience to go global.” Users will be able to test the new YouTube feature by clicking on the desired video settings and then selecting “audio track”.
