The national government formalized the economic assistance of 28,000 million pesos for the provinces, corresponding to the Compensation Fund for the first four months of the year.
The measure was formalized this Friday with the publication in the Official Gazette of resolution 86/2023, which bears the signature of the Minister of Transportation of the Nation, Diego Giuliano.
The 28,000 million pesos that the Ministry of Transportation will distribute among the provinces correspond to assistance for urban and suburban motor vehicle transport of passengers from the interior of the country for the months of January, February, March, and April.
The province or municipality that does not yet have the SUBE system operational, and within the framework of the obligation established by the regulations, must request its implementation.
In this sense, to receive financial assistance, the provinces or municipalities must sign an agreement corresponding to this year with the Secretariat of Interjurisdictional Articulation in the next 30 daysand in addition, each jurisdiction must contribute to the companies that provide provincial and municipal transport services at least an economic amount equal to that contributed by the National State.

“With this measure, the Ministry of Transport seeks to guarantee that all Argentines have access to the social rate and other national State programs that allow equity and a better distribution of resources related to public transport through discounts on the value of the ticket,” it was reported.

For this entire year, the economic assistance of the national government to the interior of the country established by the Budget approved by Congress and through the Compensation Fund will reach an increase of 1,305% compared to 2019, when the previous government transferred only 6,000 million pesos for the sector.
