The large number of new mobile phone models that manufacturers launch each year gives rise to a curious phenomenon: phones have been very similar to each other for a long time -even among special ones such as folding ones-, to the point that many of the launches of the year could be defined as boring. The new Realme 11 Pro+, a mid-range mobile with its own very marked personality, does not run that risk. You may like it or not, but it is one of those phones that does not leave anyone indifferent.
The new Realme 11 and 11 Pro range stands out, above all, for its rear cover, made up of a surface that imitates artificial leather, traversed by central color lines, and with a more than striking circular camera module. It does not seem like a mobile for all tastes, but it sure has an audience that loves the touch of fashion that this model offers. The Realme 11 Pro+ is available in three colors, two of which, green and cream, imitate leather, while for those who want to go something more unnoticed there is a model in black, without gold or longitudinal lines.
The Realme 11 Pro+ is the most complete of the new range, with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, three cameras -the main one, 200 megapixels-, the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, at the height of its range, and a load 100 W fast with the Chinese manufacturer’s own technology, the fastest on the market, for its 5,000 mAH battery.
Realm
Realme plays on this model with a design that makes it clear that it is not one more, but a product with which to distinguish itself from others, and to which it provides some elements that compete with the higher range. The most striking is its 200-megapixel main camera, which it shares with one of this year’s flagship models, the Samsung S23 Ultra. The same camera as a mobile in the premium segment? Yes the same one. However, some nuances need to be made. Having the same camera does not mean taking the same photos.
When evaluating the benefits of a camera, its final result must be taken into account: the photos. These do not only depend, especially in mobile phones, where all the space is very small, on the sensor. The image processing that the phone does, in which it must combine the power of its chip and algorithms, are of fundamental importance.
The high price difference between the high-end Samsung and the mid-range Realme is noticeable. What the Chinese brand does really well is to use its wide resolution to achieve a zoom, by cropping, of up to 4 magnifications. It is not the same as an optical zoom, but this mobile does not cost the same as the top of the range. The Realme 11 Pro+ screen has a 120 Hz refresh rate, typical of the most expensive phones, and up to 360 Hz touch response, which is especially appreciated with video games. The rest of the rear cameras are a 2-megapixel macro lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle, nothing special.
Realm
The Realme model is a mobile that stands out for its processor, screen, main camera and design. Those are the main characteristics that decide sales in a market as competitive as that of mid-range phones. In all of them he stands out and has arguments to convince his public, but he has one last bullet: his price. The Realme 11 Pro+ starts at 519 euros, but there is an introductory offer until June 30 for 469 euros.
