The return of Damian Szifron to the big screen with “Misanthrope” had a discreet debut in theaters in the country, with a “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3” who led the podium and a “Super Mario Bros. The Movie”which does not yield in the call.
The director’s film “Wild Tales”the highest-grossing film in the country’s history, brought together 38.471 people to see this US-shot thriller about a mass murderer. “Misanthrope” ranked fourth in the local box office.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3”, a new installment of the Marvel universe, started with 435.725 entries cut, while “Super Mario Bros. The Movie” got into 163.005 people, reaching a total of 2.303.806 in its four and a half weeks on the bill.
Third place went to “evil dead the awakening”con 56.886 viewers, who added up for a total of 420.204.
“extortion”thriller starring William Francellamaintains good numbers: 28.404 to round off a call for 465.011, since its premiere on April 6. The national film appears in the top ten “Start the Dance” (position 9), with 1.844 viewers out of a total of 13.619.
