A few weeks after the release of the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Plus arrives on the market. It is basically the same first model, but with a 6.7-inch screen instead of the previous 6.1-inch one, so the main purchase decision between one and the other will be the size.
Phones with larger screens generally satisfy users who need to do a lot of productive tasks on the go and those who instead focus more on things like enjoying video or gaming. In both cases, they gain in experience with the iPhone 14 Plus compared to the iPhone 14.

Everything explained a couple of weeks ago regarding the iPhone 14 is valid for the 14 Plus, but it must always be considered that the new terminal has 20% more active screen area. The second big difference is in the battery. In the latter it is more durable, without many days to test it, the feeling is that it is up to the 13 Pro Max, the best iPhone so far in terms of autonomy.

With the same screen size as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the 14 Plus is considerably lighter in weight (240 grams vs. 203 grams). The visible area varies slightly because while the former has released the area of sensors and front camera called Dynamic Island, with animations and notifications from apps that work in the background, the latter maintains the notch or dark upper tab (notch).

The iPhone 14 Plus has a 12 megapixel main lens and an ultra wide angle lens. It seems to keep the same as the iPhone 13 had, although the camera has been improved and that, combined with the new Photonic Engine processing system, represents an improvement over the previous generation that would make it comparable (apart from lacking a lens of magnification) to the iPhone 13 Pro. Who wants to have three focal lengths (actually four for a clever trick that makes them have an extra x2 zoom), should aim for the 14 Pro models.
The new Apple mobile shares many photographic features with the Pros, such as the sensitive improvement of the night mode; action mode, a really good software stabilization system for recording moving videos; and the cinematic mode in 4K, which automatically plays with the depth of field, which gives a very cinematic look to the footage.

iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 may seem like a simple upgrade from the previous generation, but they’re actually completely redesigned models. The iFixit website, specialized in videos in which devices are disassembled, has pointed out that the new terminals are much more repairable than the previous ones, as they have a new distribution of components and the absence of products such as glue, which was previously used to join pieces. . The two main reasons for this new internal configuration are, first of all, a better temperature dissipation of the processor and, in some cases, for improvements in the photographic area.
The processor is the same A15 Bionic chip from last year but in a new version with five processing cores instead of four. Apple has reserved the more powerful A16 Bionic for the Pro models. One wonders if the company is offering the same as a year ago. For an average user, who will have a hard time taking this mobile to the limit no matter how hard they try, the experience will be that of a very agile terminal, with plenty of power for any activity. The reality is that the A15 Bionic is still ahead of competing chips more than a year later.

Like the 14 Pro and the Apple Watch Series 8 and Ultra, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have two new security features, car accident detection and satellite emergency messages for areas without coverage. The first has been possible through a strong overlap between hardware and software, with new sensors, such as an accelerometer capable of detecting accelerations of 256 g. If the mobile believes it has detected an accident and the user does not respond within 10 seconds, it calls the emergency services automatically.
The sending of satellite messages will begin in November and, initially, only for the United States and Canada. Neither of these two features seems enough to drive a purchase decision because, probably, it is something that nobody expects to use in their entire life, but if they are there, perhaps they can help many users to overcome sticky trances. Better to have them than not to have them.

The dollar/euro exchange rate and inflation have led to increases that are close to 10% in the first releases of the year that are made in US currency, although the company’s initial price proposal, if the sale price in the United States is taken United States (without taxes) is practically the same. The iPhone 14 Plus is priced from 1,159 euros.
