The entrance of the trains of the Miter line to the Retiro station was inaugurated

The Minister of Transportation of the Nation, Diego Giuliano, formally inaugurated this Friday the entry of trains from the Miter line to the Retiro station, after the improvement works promoted by the national government that will benefit more than 200,000 daily passengers.
The works that reached 65% in the progress of the historic work that improves the entrance of the trains, were developed jointly with Trenes Argentinos and will allow the services to JL Suárez and Tigre to reach the terminal from next Monday.
The platforms and the access roads to the Retiro station of the Miter Railway were renovated and will be enabled again from this Monday
During the act, Giuliano highlighted the work carried out by “the unions that represent the railway workers of Argentina when they are with us, when we share these facts, it is not the same, because there is the warmth of what they mean and of what they put in every day to move forward with this Argentine railway system that you know that not everyone thinks or thought the same about its development”.
“Here there were bad railway policies that collapsed investments, that avoided strengthening the system or that they thought that this could no longer happen in Argentina – Giuliano continued -. But here there was a Government and a Ministry of Transport that, with Mario Meoni At the beginning of the administration, he believed in this with a Minister of the Economy like today, Sergio Massa, who we know that his hand does not tremble when it comes to railway investments, that he continues them and that he always asks for more to be able to advance in the system federal, in this dome that today shelters us all, a historical dome of the Argentine railway system”.
For his part, the president of Trenes Argentinos Operaciones e Infraestructura, Martín Marinucci, explained that “it is the first work that Minister Giuliano visited, as soon as he took office. The construction of the entrance grill of the Miter line was 117 years old and it had never We had a general intervention. Many told us that it was impossible to do it in a year. And we are achieving it in this first stage, with the inauguration of the four platforms, guaranteeing safety in the circulation of trains and increasing frequencies. And we are the same doing at a national level, in every corner of the country. Let’s continue on this path to continue developing the entire railway system in Argentina,” he said.

The officials got on the Miter train at the Lisandro de la Torre station and made the journey to the Retiro station, circulating through the new entrance routes that allow speeding up the entry and exit times to the Retiro station.
Participating in the inauguration, in addition to Giuliano and Marinucci, were Malena Galmarini, president of AySA; Damián Contreras, head of FASE; Tomás Vernet, deputy controller of AGP; Eduardo Feijoo, Manager of Prevention and Comprehensive Security at Trenes Argentinos Operations and Ivan Kildoff, General Manager of Administration and Finance at Trenes Argentinos Infraestructura.
This work is part of the Rail Transport Modernization Plan, promoted by the National Ministry of Transportation to improve the travel experience of all Argentines.
At the national level, the plan has already recovered more than 3,000 km of roads, 20 services and sections restored and 54 stations renovated, and includes, among many works, the construction in the AMBA of 28 underpasses, added to seven modular bridges already installed to increase frequencies and improve urban mobility.
