Lamas received the visit of the Secretary of Human Rights of the Nation, Horacio Pietragalla Cortiwho closely follows the conflict in that province and also learned about the state of health of those detained and injured by the serious events.
The official spoke with the young man and his relatives and made his work team available to accompany the treatments that are necessary in a clinic in Buenos Aires.
One of the young man’s aunts lamented the repression suffered by several people, mostly from the communities in the Quebrada area, last Saturday, and which left at least ten gunshot wounds, others injured and more than 30 detainees detained, after the protests on the national route 9 against the constitutional reform promoted by the governor Gerardo Morales.

“My nephew was seriously injured, he lost sight in his right eye. Emotionally he feels scared and is very sad about everything that has happened”the woman said.
Due to the state of health in which several of the injured remain, the Ulloa Center-Jujuy Delegation, which works with the Pietragalla team, put itself at the service to accompany the victims.
“The institution provides mental health support to the victims of institutional violence, and we have made ourselves available to all the victims of police repression in Purmamarca,” said the referent of that center, Néstor Ulloa.
“After an event of this nature, traumatic and psychological situations are experienced that must be faced,” explained the professional.
