The health part and the facts
Petinari’s relatives told Télam that the woman is in a very delicate state and remains serious, after suffering sharp injuries to her body and the loss of her right eyeball as a result of a knife.
“He is still serious but stable. We are waiting for him to recover and come out little by little,” said Adolfo Petinari, brother of the injured woman.
The event occurred on Friday, June 9 at 4:20 a.m. in a house on Calle Italia 1077, a few blocks from the center of the San Antonio de Padua station, where Izzo, owner of a sawmill in the western suburbs, lived next to to his wife Petinari, daughter of the owner of the company “Petinari”, dedicated to the manufacture of trailers, dump trucks and semi-trailers, from the Merlo district.
At least two criminals forced an American-type wooden blind from the house and entered, after which they surprised the couple.
Outside, two other criminals were waiting for them inside a gray Volkswagen Gol Power as a “bell”.
Rodríguez Sierra was arrested after the discovery of the Gol Power car used to commit the crime.
According to the sources, Izzo woke up to noises and grabbed two weapons of his own that he kept in his room – a Bersa .40 caliber pistol and a .38 revolver – and left the room to see what was happening.
In these circumstances, he confronted the criminals, who shot him with firearms and also stabbed him.
The victim also fired, although only with the revolver since the pistol jammed and apparently did not hit anyone, the spokesmen added.
Izzo was hit by at least five projectiles and died on the spot as a result of the bullet and knife injuries that the criminals inflicted on him, while his wife was stabbed and beaten.
Also in the house was the mother of the injured woman, Elsa Otruba de Petinari (83), who was unharmed as she did not leave the room.
Days after the crime, Rodríguez Sierra, owner of the Gol in which the thieves fled, was arrested, and his son and an 18-year-old boy were also arrested, who were released.
