President Alberto Fernández valued this Thursday, during an act at the Punta Indio Space Center, that Argentina “is one of the ten countries that build satellites” and He assured that “above any difference” he has the “same country project” as Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
Accompanied by the Minister of Science, Daniel Filmus, the Head of State led this afternoon a tour of the Center located in the Buenos Aires town of Pipinas where the Tronador II satellite launcher rocket is being developed.

Barely 12 hours after the closing of the alliances that will compete in this year’s elections, Fernández made a speech in which he valued the investment in science and technology made by his government and by those of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Fernandez stressed that “Despite the problems of the pandemic and the war, a lot of progress has been made in the country” and he assured that “most Argentines do not feel that they live in a failed society”but they know that they are going through “a difficult moment, surrounded by people capable of getting up, walking and walking”.
Referring to the Space Center, he stressed that during the four years of Mauricio Macri’s presidency, the construction processes of the space launcher were halted, which caused delays in achieving the objectives actually set.
