Uruguay faces Israel this Thursday in the first round of the U-20 World Cup semifinals at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in La Plata.
The match will be played from 2:30 p.m., with the arbitration of the Spanish José Sánchez Martínez and the transmission of TyC Sports.
The Uruguayan team will look for a new final after 10 years – it has two runners-up – after eliminating Gambia (1-0) in the round of 16 and the United States (2-0) in the quarterfinals.

For its part, Israel is one of the surprises in its World Cup debut and left out Uzbekistan (1-0) in the round of 16 and candidate Brazil (3-2) in the quarterfinals.
Argentina, eliminated in the round of 16 by Nigeria (0-2) in this 2023 World Cup, will continue as the top champion of the category with six titles, followed by Brazil (5), Portugal (2) and Serbia (2). Consequently, in this edition there will be a new champion, who will join Ghana, Spain, Russia, England, France and Ukraine, all with an Olympic round.
