WhatsApp began to enable from Monday around the world the function of edit a message, with a window of time to do it up to 15 minutes after sending it. Those modified chats will show the status “edited” so the recipients will be aware of the correction, but they won’t be able to see the change history.
“We’re excited to give you more control over your chats, as you can now do anything from correcting simple misspellings to adding extra context to a message. Just long press on the sent message and choose “To edit” on the menu. You have up to fifteen minutes to do it,” the application reported on its official blog on Monday.

Edited messages will show a warning “edited”so recipients will be aware of the fix, but won’t be able to see the change history.
As with all personal messages, media files, and calls, changes “will be protected by end-to-end encryption”specified WhatsApp.
