The health workers of the City of Buenos (Caba) grouped in ATE, will develop a new mobilization and concentration on Wednesday in the Obelisk of Buenos Aireswithin the framework of a general strike of activities for 72 hours, “in rejection of discrimination against nursing workers”, in recognition of the professional career and an increase in wages for workers in the sector.

“We are complying with a 72-hour strike with mobilizations in all Buenos Aires health centers (Cesacs) demanding that the entire amount of the collection of social works be paid, where only nursing workers are discriminated against,” he told Télam Héctor Ortiz, union leader of ATE-Salud in the Durand and Pedro de Elizalde hospitals, formerly Casa Cuna.

In that framework, health workers grouped in ATE, will gather on Wednesday morning at the Obelisk of Buenos Aires and later they will move to the office of the Minister of Health of the City of Buenos Aires, located at Bolívar 1, where they will claim to be received by the head of the portfolio, Fernán Quiróz.

Likewise, Ortiz completed: “During these three days of the fight plan, which will culminate on Wednesday in a mobilization, also demand a salary readjustment, which is tremendously overdue and, as always, a recognition of the professional career” for nursing workers.

“In this framework also -added the leader of ATE- this Wednesday will be with mobilizationmaintaining the stoppage of activities, and reaching the office of the Minister (of Health) Fernán Quiróz, where we are going to shout enough of institutional violence and labor discrimination for health workers”.

Finally, the ATE union leader warned: “If tomorrow (Wednesday) we do not have answers to our claims, the force measures will be deepened in the next few days, to see if once this Head of Government and this Minister of Health of the City of Buenos Aires understand that labor mistreatment and labor discrimination cannot occur in the City or in any part of the country”.
