The Ministry of Education of the province of Santa Fe ruled out this Tuesday suspending classes in the district due to the heat wave that affects the central region of the country, but clarified that current regulations authorizes school principals to cease activities for exceptional reasons.
In this sense, the Secretary of Education of the province, Víctor Debloc, reported that the Ministry of Health He recommended to the Minister of Education, Adriana Cantero, “that Physical Education classes not be carried out, which generally take place outdoors and which are inconvenient due to the high temperatures.”
“There is an article of Decree 456 that empowers the director and the supervisor to approve a request to partially or totally suspend (classes) for a couple of hours, half a day or a whole day when there are exceptional situations,” Debloc said.
