The Division of Crimes Against Vulnerable Groups of the City Police ordered this Wednesday to search the home of Delfina Silva Zarranz, mother of the Arcoíris girl, to carry out her arrest, the family lawyer reported while organizations defending the girl called themselves in front of the address where the City Police were trying to fulfill the request.

They want to hand her over to the abuser and arrest her mother Delfina for disobedience. What disobedience? Not handing over the girl to the abuser and her family. The judicial search warrant No. 9648/2023, of the Rogatory Court, provided to Télam by the lawyer Elida Barrera, the lawyer of Delfina Silva Zarranz In the Arcoiris case, it demanded to effectuate the arrest of Zarranz from his home in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Almagro for “disobedience to authority and impediment of contact of minor children with their non-living parents aggravated in real bankruptcy and accumulated file 4239”.

In a telephone dialogue with this agency, Graham explained that they are focused “on resolving the situation”, that they are “working on it” and that they would not make statements at this time.
The official said that they are “noting some irregularities in the procedure, in order to ensure the rights of the girl, we are negotiating before the justice of the Province of La Rioja. We are here,” he concluded.
Arcoíris, a fictitious name to preserve her identity, is a 6-year-old girl who reported having been abused by her paternal grandfather, whom she saw after being taken away by her father, despite a judicial ban on him from seeing the granddaughter.
