For his part, The Secretary of Quality in Health, Alejandro Collia, pointed out that “throughout this year multiple actions have been carried out that have resulted in the possibility of enriching what makes food in the Argentine Republic” and stressed that this day “gives value to a job that the minister has been leading, with colleagues who have enormous experience and with other areas of the Government.”
The official added: “There are few countries in the world that are regulating the possibility of incorporating cannabis into food, and Salud has been leading actions that are recognized globally and regionally.”
In turn, the Secretary of Agriculture, Juan José Bahillo, stated that “the development of cannabis has been providing job opportunities, for us it is crucial to continue working in this chain, as we have been doing with Inase (National Seed Institute) and Senasa ( National Service of Health and Food Quality), in coordination with Health and the rest of the organizations that make up the Conal”.
“We have already delivered the first nine certificates of ownership of the cannabis varieties registered in Argentina, marking a historic milestone for this Government in support of the development of this new production”the official said.
