The Minister of Social Development, Juan Zabaleta, affirmed that his portfolio is “advancing in the dialogue” with the referents of the social movements and ratified the intention of the national Government to “continue generating bridges towards employment” and thus reconvert the social plans into positions of formal work.
Faced with the demands of different sectors of the left along with social organizations and picketers that include marches, courts and camps at the Buenos Aires headquarters of the Ministry of Social Development, Zabaleta recounted: “We have met with the picketers and we are advancing in the dialogue so that everything works well”.
In statements to Radio 10, the minister highlighted that the government of Alberto Fernández has since its inauguration, in December 2019 and prior to the pandemic, “a program within the framework of food policies”, and assured that “it will continue to have it” because, “where the Argentines need our help, we, as Government and State, are going to be”.
In this context, Zabaleta also stressed that the State must “also invest in resources to increase production and help entrepreneurs and the popular and local economy to generate genuine work.”
“We have to invest resources in production”reiterated the head of the social portfolio who, in this sense, stressed that the primary objective of this stage of management is “to transform social plans into formal and genuine work.”
For this reason, Zabaleta marked as the main policy of Social Development “to continue generating bridges towards employment”,
