Sony Interactive Entertainment is finalizing the details of the launch of PlayStation VR2, the new model of its virtual reality helmet, now exclusive to PlayStation 5. One month after the sale of this device, the video game division of the Japanese company has announced what will be the titles that will be available on the day of departure and during the first weeks.<\/p>\n

PS VR2 will arrive in stores around the world on February 22 and during its launch window it will have more than 30 compatible games. So far a small selection of titles was known, but it has not been until now that Sony has confirmed the complete list.<\/p>\n

Through a post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony has revealed 13 new games that will also be compatible, such as Kayak VR: Mirage, Before Yor Eyes, Thumper, Rez Infinite or Tetris Effect, among others. In most cases, these are not new titles, but games that are already available on other virtual reality devices and will also be compatible with PS VR2.<\/p>\n

However, if there is one name that will stand out on the device’s launch day, it will be Horizon Call of the Mountain. This game created specifically for PS VR2 will offer the player to immerse themselves in the world of this popular franchise in a new first-person adventure that will stand out for its spectacular visuals.<\/p>\n

Another interesting title will be Gran Turismo 7, the latest installment of the PS5 driving simulator, which will receive a free update on the same day, February 22. The Polyphony Digital game will take advantage of player eye tracking, one of the new headset features that was not included in the previous model of the device.<\/p>\n

It will also highlight Resident Evil Village, which coinciding with the arrival of PS VR2, will be updated for free on PS5 to add a new, even more immersive VR mode. Precisely, the Capcom horror game was the game that we were able to test during our first contact with the device during the last edition of the Toky Game Show.<\/p>\n

PlayStation VR 2 will have an OLED screen, it will have the capacity to display images in 4K HDR and, in general, it will represent a significant technical leap compared to the original model launched in 2016 for PlayStation 4.<\/p>\n

As we explained in our first impressions with PlayStation VR2, the first thing that stands out about the device is the great leap it represents compared to the previous model launched in 2016. Those people who work hardest on this type of device, who have tried the Valve Index, the HTC Vive Pro or even Meta Quest 2 will not notice an abysmal change, but those who come from the first model of PS VR will notice a true generational change.<\/p>\n
